Hassei Mine once stood where Happō Town Central Park, opened in 2008, now lies. At one end of its lawn stands a 4.3 m monument, a one-tenth-scale replica of the smelting furnace's great chimney. The black sand beach nearby is, in the town's words, slag that was once washed away from the mine.

According to the Happō Shirakami Geopark, the Koirikawa district has a huge rock called Tateiwa, and a legend of tragic love is handed down about a young flute player and a local girl who loved him. Right above the district's rows of houses spans the Koirikawa railway bridge of the JR Gonō Line, known as a photography spot.

The rock mass next to the north-west of Tsubaki fishing port is about 94 m long and about 16 m wide. Made of andesite, it keeps the look of a lava flow. The prefecture writes that no other rock in the prefecture shows the three-dimensional structure of columnar joints in this way, and designated it a prefectural natural monument in 2015.
