In the leap fourth month of Kanpo 3 (1743), a villager dedicated this sangaku math tablet at Kurahasama Kannon Hall. It poses two problems and an appended note on gold and silver exchange: the first uses tengen-jutsu, a method of solving high-degree equations, the second is a crane-and-turtle problem. The prefecture describes it as the oldest surviving sangaku in the Morioka domain.
