01 / Takko Kagura
In the early Edo period, a Takko mountain asceticperformed kagura for the Nanbu domain.
The prefecture's description records that a mountain ascetic (shugen) of Takko served as the Nanbu domain's official kagura performer in the early Edo period. After a decline, today's Takko Kagura is said to come from a lion dance that a man brought from Iwate and his pupil passed on. At the old New Year it visits homes for spring prayers.
