The Setana Tourism Association says the cape was regarded until recently as the westernmost point of Hokkaido. It lies where the 3,395 m Ota Tunnel passes and cannot be reached; it is viewed past the shrine's worship hall or stone lantern. The association says the actual westernmost area is on the rugged coast of Shinjo in the Kitahiyama district.

The tourism association calls the Parent-and-Cub Bear Rock, on a coast in the Taisei district, a symbol of Setana, saying a parent bear seems to hold a cub. It calls the Three-Cedar Rock in the Setana district a symbol of Setana Town; it is about 30 m high, made of pyroxene andesite, and two of its rocks join at the base.
