01 / House
The stable on the east adds a second bend:a “two-bend” main house.
The Former Komatsu House was the main house of the Komatsu family, who served as village headmen, and is thought to date from the late 18th century. Among magariya, L-shaped farmhouses, its stable jutting out to the east forms a second bend, a rare “two-bend” style, and the prefecture notes that its floor plan has no known parallel. It was moved to a folk-house park in the city in 1996.
