01 / Former Takada River
The S-curve of Central Roadhints at the river that once flowed there.

Central Road was once a river called the Takada River. River-shifting work began in 1932, and the river settled several hundred metres to the west, where it flows today. The city says the road's S-shaped meander still hints at the former river, and it has placed history plaques at five bridges.
