01 / Milestone mounds
The Tokaido's ri-marker moundsstill stand on both sides of the road.

The city writes that ri-marker mounds were set on both sides of a highway every ri (about 4 km), with an enoki (hackberry) tree planted on top. Tokaido mounds were built in 1604 (Keicho 9) on Tokugawa Ieyasu's order, but most vanished after the Meiji era as roads were widened; at Ano, both mounds remain.

- One every ri (about 4 km) (city)
- Both mounds remain (city)
