Along the coast from Ushitaki to Fukuura in Sai Village, tuff crags carved by sea erosion stand in rows. They carry names tied to Buddhism, such as Head of the Tathagata, Thirteen Buddhas, Five Hundred Arhats and Lotus Rock. The designated name is Hotokeuta (Hotokegaura).

Among the musicians,an empty oil can joins in.

Fukuura is a fishing village south of Sai's main settlement. The prefecture records that in 1890 Nakamura Kikugoro and his wife, kabuki actors from the Kyoto-Osaka area, visited and taught for two years. Every household shares the casting and stagehand roles, and the band has shamisen, flute and other instruments, plus a gankara (an empty oil can).

A townhouse made a clinic, its Japanese style kept.

A townhouse thought to date from the late Edo period was converted into a clinic around 1897. The consulting room and the living and reception rooms keep much of their original look. Given that Western-style clinics are the ones designated across Japan, the prefecture calls it a rare Japanese-style clinic building.
