The Izaribata of Hachiman Shrine is the loom used to weave the flag in the Ohata-ori ritual, and is a prefecturally designated folk cultural property. It is thought to have been made just after its head temple burned down in 1689 (Genroku 2), of cedar shaved with an adze. The flag is tied to a legend of Yoritomo's white flag, but the city calls that a later attachment.
