The town introduces Tokachi Shrine as the oldest shrine in Tokachi, with its founding unknown. It holds the engraved board Toka Shindo Ki, a Hokkaido-designated Tangible Cultural Property, which records how Kondo Juzo opened a mountain road of about three ri in 1798 (Kansei 10). The town says the board was carved again in 1860.
