Kadogawa Town isthis kind of town.

  1. 01Birojima (枇榔島) is an uninhabited island out at sea east of Osue Fishing Port in Kadogawa. The town's site writes that the Japanese murrelet, the town bird, gathers there to lay eggs around March and April each year; the Ministry of the Environment's Kyushu office says it is thought to be one of Japan's largest breeding sites.
  2. 02At the Osue Shrine festival's sashikurabe, three districts compete by holding up their danjiri. Otojima is an uninhabited island and a prefectural scenic site, and Omikura-san is enshrined in a cave on the peninsula (遠見半島).
  3. 03Each year since fiscal 2001, sixth-graders repaint the mural on the Iorigawa (庵川) breakwater. A guidebook to the town's tidal flats was published in January 2026, and a Miyazaki University guide lists 815 fish species from Kadogawa Bay. The Iorigawa kiln site (庵川窯跡) is a town historic site.
