01 / Kaminari Falls
Pass under the eave-like rock, and you can see the back of the falls.

It lies 142 m in from the prefectural road, where the river is 29 m wide and the left bank wall is 40 m high. The village records that the falls are cut into hardened silicified tuff breccia and were made by erosion of this rock face. Passing under the eave-like ledge of rock, one can see the back of the falls, and the village records that this is why they are also called Urami-no-taki, the falls seen from behind.
