The kabuki stage in the grounds of Ikushimatarushima Shrine is a Prefectural Treasure, said by parishioners to have been built in 1868, the first year of Meiji; a 1986 repair restored it to its original form with the revolving stage. At the centre of the stage, about 16 m wide and 12 m deep, is a revolving stage about 15 shaku (4.5 m) across, with two lifts called seri in front of it.

Someya ware is practical pottery such as water jars, pots and bowls, built by stretching clay into rods and coiling them up in a method called himotsukuri, and said to be thick and very heavy.
