At Omiya Sengen Shrine on Owarifuji, the Ishiage Festival is held every year on the first Sunday of August. In the Tenpo era of the Edo period, the shrine's deity is said to have appeared in a villager's dream, lamented that the mountain was lower than neighboring Mount Hongu, and promised to grant a wish if stones were piled on the summit.
