A furyu dance handed down in Kuromaru since the Sengoku period, said to have been taught by Hoyo (法養), a ronin from the Chugoku region. In the entry dance (iriha), dancers carry a great flower wheel of 81 bamboo poles fanned out, each hung with washi-paper flowers. The city says the wheel can reach 5 m across and weigh 60 kg.
