Takatori Castle was decommissioned in 1873. The temple gate at Kojima-dera is the castle's second gate, moved here, and a town booklet calls it a surviving remnant of the castle (visits are from outside). The front gate of the lord's lower residence was moved and is now a clinic's gate, and the Matsu-no-mon, once the gate of Tosa Elementary School, is partly restored in a children's park.

Ichio Miyazuka Kofun is a keyhole-shaped tomb about 44 m long. In the burial chamber of its horizontal-entrance stone chamber lies a house-shaped sarcophagus of the hollowed-out type (kurinuki-shiki). The national designation commentary estimates that it and Ichio Hakayama Kofun, about 250 m away, were built in succession as chieftains' tombs from the beginning to the first half of the 6th century. The chamber is locked, and visits require an application.

A town booklet calls the stone paving of Takatori, the medicine town, a "herb encyclopedia," with tiles introducing medicinal herbs set into it. The tourism association says the stones were reused from earthquake-recovery work after the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and that the tiles show nine herbs. The town notes that the Nihon Shoki records a medicinal hunt by Empress Suiko.
