01 / Fire station
A fire station topped by a red-domedwatchtower, typical of southern Aomori.

A two-storey timber building of 1922, 12.7 m high, with a watchtower. The walls are clapboard and the second floor has semicircular arched windows, giving the exterior Western-style, modern features. A fire engine was assigned in 1940, so the front was extended. It is still used as a fire station.
