Dancing in rooster-shaped caps,a Bon rite for the ancestors.

The Nenbutsu Keibu begins at a Kannon hall at Bon, then moves to the graveyard for a grave nenbutsu and dances for each household's ancestors. Dancers wear rooster-shaped caps. The prefecture records that it is said to have honored the spirits of sisters who became masters of the lake, but likely began as a nenbutsu dance.
