Shiroi City isthis kind of town.

  1. 01Enmei-ji's Kannon Hall is prefecture-designated; a copy of its ridgepole tablet records a Kanazawa carpenter, and the city says it was probably completed in 1668
  2. 02The "reverse-blade sword" is one of 4 blades found at an old ranger family's home; the city designates it as part of the Kawakami family ranger materials and says its use is unclear
  3. 03A triangulation point sits on the Kashima Road mound, and a shrine's main hall was completed in 1842; the city's history page says pear growing spread after the Meiji era because small rivers left little paddy land
