  2. 02At Hachiman Shrine in Tachima, Yoshida, ritual sumo (Unokoku Sumo) has been offered early on the morning of November 3. Stone-walled terraced fields spread across Mizunoura in Yusu, and the Colored-Glass House, an annex of the Konishi main house in Iwamatsu, Tsushima, can be visited by prior application or on open days.
  3. 03Uwajima has been a castle town since Date Hidemune arrived; the keep of Uwajima Castle is a national Important Cultural Property and Tenshaen garden a national Place of Scenic Beauty. Yatsushika-odori (deer dance) is performed at Uwatsuhiko Shrine's autumn festival, and Takano Choei, whom Date Munenari summoned, taught Dutch learning to young men of the domain at his school, Gogakudo.
