Starting from the reclamation dike "Keicho Hondoi," thought to have been completed after Tanaka Yoshimasa ordered the reinforcement of the embankment in 1602 (Keicho 7), later reclamation went on, and the Yanagawa domain achieved 2,540 cho of reclaimed land by the early Meiji period.
