01 / Izumi Residence
The parlor wing and the kitchen wingstill stand as separate buildings.
The Izumi Residence in Kasari, built in the early Meiji era, is a house with separate buildings. The prefecture's guide calls it valuable because the Omote, with an eight-mat parlor, and the Toogura, with the kitchen, remain together with a raised storehouse. The grounds are ringed by an earthen bank planted with windbreak trees, and the well is stacked with cut coral stone. It is privately owned.
