A folk performing art handed down in the former Takeo domain. Three districts, Nakano, Utode and Takase, hold national Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property status. Dancers called Mossho (モッショ) and Kaki (カキ) form a circle. It is offered at each district's tutelary shrine; the tourist association calls it a Shinto rite, "not an event."
