The sacred camphor tree of Kayashima Shrine was slated for felling when the station building was moved with the Keihan line's continuous elevation and quadruple-tracking. At the strong request of local residents, it was preserved on the Osaka-bound platform. It stands through the elevated platform, and was also chosen for Osaka Prefecture's "Midori no Hyakusen" (100 Selections of Greenery).

After the Bunroku Embankment was built, six Tomorogi villages could no longer draw water from the Yodo River, so they set up an irrigation intake on the river. The intake sluice was abolished in 1928, and a memorial stone was erected in 1930. Most of the northern part of today's Tomorogi Ryokuchi greenway uses the old canal's site.
