01 ／ Cherry blossom
Around 1955, a tree in the garden of Katsumi Iida, a local resident, became the parent tree of Kawazu-zakura (河津桜). It was named Kawazu-zakura in 1974 and became the town tree the next year. It blooms for about a month from late January, and the festival reached its 36th edition in 2026.
02 ／ Waterfalls
Seven falls, Kamadaru, Ebidaru, Hebidaru, Shokeidaru, Kanidaru, Deaidaru and Odaru, lie on the Kawazu River flowing from Amagi. An 850 m trail takes about an hour one way, and the largest, Odaru, drops 30 m. There are two statues of the Izu Dancer along the way.
03 ／ Hot springs
The Mine Onsen geyser (峰温泉大噴湯) has flowed without pause since it burst out in 1926. Every hour at half past, from 9:30 to 15:30, water at 100°C shoots up to 30 m for about a minute. Entry is free, and there is a footbath.

The Limited Express Odoriko runs from Tokyo to Kawazu in 2 hours 30 minutes with no change. From Atami it is 1 hour 20 minutes on the JR Ito Line and the Izukyu Line.
