The Uzen-Narita Station building belonged to the old Nagai Line branching from the Ou Main Line. It is a single-storey wooden building of 1922 (Taisho 11). Though its layout of waiting room and office is standard, geometric patterns decorate the ticket window and elsewhere. It became a nationally registered tangible cultural property in 2015.

02 ／ Boat landing

In the age of Mogami River boat trade,Miya village had a Yonezawa domain landing.

According to the tourism portal, in 1694 (Genroku 7) Nishimura Kyuzaemon, a merchant to the Yonezawa domain, cut through the bedrock of the Kurotaki rapids and completed the Miya boat landing, opening river boats from Sakata to Nagai. The national commentary says the domain had a landing at Miya, with public indigo-fibre and tax-rice storehouses.

03 ／ Old tree

Though its original trunk is hollow,it renews itself with side trunks.

The Kusaoka Daimyojin cherry is an Edo-higan tree at Nakazato in Kusaoka, with a trunk girth of 10.9 m at eye level and a height of 18.8 m. The national commentary says its original trunk is hollow but the tree is kept alive by adventitious roots and side trunks. It was designated a Natural Monument in 2005.
