These are materials related to Kakuho, the Edo-period head priest of Kongorin-ji Temple who restored Morimoto Shrine, designated by the city in 2010. The designation text says all of them arose from the creation of historical facts and cultural objects that became the subject of Kakuho's historical research and commemoration, and can be understood as an attempt to tie people's interest to the area.

Habikino City isthis kind of town.

  1. 01Konda Hachimangu Shrine's Hojo Bridge is a city-designated stone bridge; the city's designation text says the basic structure of each part imitates a traditional strongly curved wooden bridge. Its railing and brace styles suggest it was built between the late 17th and early 18th centuries, and the shrine says it was once crossed in the autumn procession but is now bypassed by an adjacent bridge because of its age
  2. 02The Hayato stones (a pair) and the tower attributed to Kusunoki Masashige at Morimoto Shrine are city-designated Kakuho materials, and the Komagatani signpost was set along the Takenouchi Road by a Sakai metalcaster who knew Kakuho. At Sairin-ji Temple, an old-style character is carved at the center of the pagoda base's pillar socket
  3. 03Yoshimura House is the estate of an upper-class farming family of village heads, with a thatched nagaya-mon gate 18.0 m long. The name Habikino comes from the legend that Yamato Takeru became a white swan and alighted here, said to look like wings being drawn, and 26 tombs of the Furuichi Kofun Group in the city were inscribed as World Heritage in 2019
