Seated stone Amida Buddhas up to 1.6 m tall line the old Nishi-Ōmi road, facing the lake. Sasaki Rokkaku Yoshikata is said to have built them in 1553 for his late mother, and a signboard notes that a diary of 1491 already mentions them. Of the 48 statues, 13 moved to Jigen-dō in Sakamoto, 2 are missing, and 33 remain.

In Ōmizo, where Oda Nobuzumi built a castle town in 1578 (Tenshō 6), channels run along the streets and two ancient drinking-water systems serve the houses. The Ōmizo community council records that mountain and spring water from Mount Hiyoshi was carried underground in bamboo pipes and drawn to each house at branching points called tachiagari. The Hiyoshiyama Water Association and the Katsuno Well Association maintain the systems.

The raftsmen who carried it downriver worshipped Shikobuchi, a god who guards them from river demons, and kept the faith in small shrines, shrines and confraternities. It is found in the Ado River basin, and three buildings of Shikobuchi Shrine in Ogawa, Kutsuki are Important Cultural Properties.
