This Town-designated historic site lies on the old road above the Shiromaru tunnel, on the ridge between Shiromaru and Hikawa. The town explains that only once the cutting was completed in the Genroku years did ties with the eastern side become close, and that it was opened to avoid a hard mountain crossing.

A stage spans the shrine's stone steps;from below it looks two storeys.

The stage was built to straddle the stone steps of the approach to the precinct, and also serves as a gate to the shrine. Built against a stone wall in the kakezukuri style, it looks two-storeyed from below and like a single-storey stage from the precinct. It is a Tokyo-designated tangible folk cultural property.
