The sutra repository of Ankoku-ji in Kokufu is a Zen-style hall: a one-bay main structure with a skirt roof (mokoshi) around it. Inside stands an octagonal revolving sutra shelf, and an inscription on its central pillar gives the year of construction, Oei 15 (1408). It was designated a National Treasure in 1963.
