Near the summit of Mount Oya, at 753 metres one of the highest points in the Hanshin area, stands the Inagawa Observatory, Astropia. The first floor has a hybrid planetarium, optical and digital; the 50-centimetre reflector on the second floor is used for the night sky and for sunspots by day. 02 / Tada silver and copper mine

A valley once calledthree thousand houses.

On 7 October 2015 the Tada mine site was made a national historic site. The Ginzan quarter, busy enough in the Edo period to be called ginzan sanzengen (銀山三千軒), three thousand houses at the silver mine, is held to be the most important part of it. Aoki-mabu (青木間歩) is the only shaft you can walk into, about 550 metres north-west of the Yukyu-no-Yakata museum (悠久の館), some fifteen minutes on foot.

The soba served at Soba-no-Yakata (そばの館), in the roadside station Michi-no-Eki Inagawa, is made from buckwheat flour grown on the town's fallow fields, one hundred per cent. A soba dojo next door lets visitors make their own. The station opened on 5 November 2000, and its buildings are built on a theme of weather, with roofs standing for a rainbow, the sun and clouds.
