Uchima Udun is a ritual site built on the former home of the Second Sho dynasty's founder, later King Sho En. Its core, Agari Udun, was built 190 years after his death, and stone remains such as walls and building bases survive.

02 / Tanahara Stone Road

In a town of clay soil, a stone road survivesin one of the few areas with Ryukyu limestone.

This is part of a north-south road in Tanahara, bending at a right angle. Sparsely laid natural limestone blocks, each about the size of a human head, are packed in between with fist-sized stones, and about 13 m on the west side at the south end remains in good condition.

03 / Onaga Yonshi

In the old-calendar 8th month, a straw snake about 6 m longis carried seven times along Onaga's central road.

The town says it takes place on the central road of Onaga from the 7th to the 15th day of the 8th old-calendar month. The straw snake has a large head and a thin tail. Children carry it, women sing a chant of Yonshi, and the procession goes back and forth seven times.

There is no railway station in the town. The town says it takes about 20 minutes by route bus from Shuri Station on the Yui Rail to Nishihara Town Hall, and about 17 minutes from Tedako-Uranishi Station. Mt. Untamamui (158.1 m), on the border with Yonabaru, appears in the town song and school songs.
