A National Natural Monument. Two Noda wisteria grow in the grounds of the Yamanokami shrine, blooming from mid-April to around May. The Agency for Cultural Affairs describes a giant wisteria growing wild in a forest, and says that growing wild and having a lower trunk that does not branch set it apart from other giant wisterias. A trellis was built to protect the vine on the shrine side.

The former Togawa family house was the home of an oshi, who lodged and looked after pilgrims to Mount Fuji. The Agency for Cultural Affairs calls this layout typical of Fuji oshi houses, and says the inner gate and the watercourse are well preserved along with the characteristic plot layout. The main house dates from 1768. With the Osano family house it is an Important Cultural Property and a component of the Mount Fuji World Heritage site.

Arakura was a district covered by Mount Fuji's lava, short of water. The residents built the tunnel themselves, starting between 1673 and 1697 (from the Enpo era to the middle of Genroku), and after several interruptions it was completed and the water began to flow in 1865 (Keio 1). It was designated a city historic site in 1966.
