Onna Nabi was a woman poet of Ryuka, a form of Okinawan verse. Her birth date is uncertain; her surviving poems suggest the early 18th century. A Ryuka has 8 and 8 syllables in the upper verse and 8 and 6 in the lower. The Onna Matsushita monument, inscribed with one of her best-known works, is described by the tourism association as a village-designated cultural property, and has an explanatory sign.
