A keyhole-shaped mound built at the end of the 6th century, where the Yura and Maki rivers meet. The first chamber in the rear mound is 12 m long, the third about 7 m. Cross-sections suggest the third was added later. The prefectural board of education says such cases are few across the country, and that this is the only such mound in the prefecture.

This small hut beside Obara Shrine in Miwa is built in the tenchi-konpon-zukuri style. The city calls it the only one in Japan, and the prefecture's own document the only one in the country. It was used as part of the village's childbirth customs until 1948, and villagers re-thatched the roof every 8 to 10 years.

Kehara lies at the foot of Mount Oe and has supported a small village since at least the Heian period. In the early Meiji era 36 houses and 136 people lived here; 13 houses remain. A thatched house, a waterwheel hut and painted jizo statues stand among the fields. Selected as one of Japan's 100 terraced rice fields in 1999.
